Grit

Apr 18, 2022 by Morgan Fontaine

What is Grit? I have seen it defined so many ways. To me, it is the ancient Chinese Proverb "Fall Down Seven Times, Stand Up Eight".

The Reality Of Concussions With Stone Belzo

Apr 11, 2022 by Morgan Fontaine

I had the opportunity to be able to get on my two older brothers podcast called “The Social Klub” to share my story about the battle I faced and still face to this day with my mental health and concussions. For this weeks blog it will be the interview that I had with them. Hopefully my experience can help other people out there who are battling with the same issues.

You Don't Know What You Don't Know

Mar 21, 2022 by Morgan Fontaine

I feel as if there's a stigma in the gym. That asking questions is a bad thing, that not knowing everything when you walk in the gym is something to be embarrassed of. I think one of the biggest things that I try to do, and something we work hard to do at CORE 4, is to create an environment that gets rid of all that.

In-Season Strength Training-Should You Be Doing It?

Feb 28, 2022 by Morgan Fontaine

You’ve just spent the last three to six months training hard and pushing your limits in the weight room. You have gotten bigger, stronger, and faster hoping your new capabilities will help you perform at a higher level for your upcoming season. So then why do so many athletes (and coaches and parents) stop strength training once their season begins?

Poke Bowl Recipe

Feb 21, 2022 by Morgan Fontaine

There's never a bad time for sushi. This easy at-home poke bowl recipe is a lot more cost effective, and is something the whole family can get involved with. And because you are the iron chef behind this recipe, you can also alter the ingredients to fit your macros. You'll find sushi grade, wild caught tuna at your local grocery store, frozen. Whole Foods regularly has fresh sushi grade tuna too!

Snacking Simplified

Feb 7, 2022 by Morgan Fontaine

Snacking doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes people over think it and over complicate it and end up not thinking about it at all because it's too difficult. Or they just give up and eat whatever they want and then gain weight and it's a vicious cycle. Here are some things I have learned that makes snacking easy!

New Year New "Who"!?

Jan 31, 2022 by Morgan Fontaine

Well it's January, and the gym business is thriving. People are inundated with marketing....inundated with e-mails, special offers, post cards, and any other marketing material the fitness industry is told to throw at you. As you are slammed daily with advertisements from across the fitness world, we are slammed with advertisements on how to advertise to the consumer better. So we buy into this as well. We pay to get new leads. We pay for the 'dream of success". And we pay to capture you and your "dream of success".

2021 Book Review

Jan 18, 2022 by Morgan Fontaine

Anyone that knows me knows I'm a huge fan of reading. They also know that I'm a huge fan of reflection. So every year I keep track of the books I read and then I do a review of each at the end of that year. 2021 was light for me...I lost a lot of motivation for anything book related and took a break for a few months. That being said I'm back on track for this year and am ready to crush it! Check out the books I read in 2021 below.
